President
The Public Face of the PTO

Serves as the main point of contact for anything PTO related.

Communicates with all PTO board members and chairs, teachers, parents, admin, and other staff.

Schedules and runs monthly PTO meetings

Ensures events and programs run smoothly
Vice President
Assistant to the Vice President

Helps lead PTO towards goals
-
Assumes duties in the absence of the President
Treasurer
Responsible for Finances

Helps develop the PTO budget

Responsible for financial records and transactions of the PTO

Collects fundraising money and deposits all funds

Writes checks for purchases and reimbursements

Meticulous documentation for all incoming and outgoing funds

Files yearly taxes

Keep Records of Meetings

Posts all meeting minutes and what was discussed

Keeps a record of all PTO board member and volunteer information

Chair

Creates a committee of volunteers to assist in managing social media, newsletter, and website

Keeps public informed of upcoming events

Assists in overseeing PTO events

Plans and attends Water Days
Fundraising & Sponsors
Chair

Creates a committee to help with fundraising efforts throughout the year.

Have fundraisers throughout the year

In-person donation requests at local businesses
Membership & Volunteer
Chair

Promotes PTO membership at beginning of year events

Locates and organizes volunteers for all PTO programs and events

Provides PTO with an up-to-date list of members and volunteers with contact information for each
Staff Appreciation
Chair

Coordinates staff luncheons and other appreciation events for teachers.

Looks for the most affordable ways to show teacher appreciation.
Room Parent
Chair
-
Acts as a liaison between room parents, the teachers, and the PTO board
-
Coordinates the various activities for which room parents are responsible for, such as classroom parties, collecting donations for a teacher gift, etc.
